Marian column in Geisenfeld

The Marian column in Geisenfeld , a town in the Upper Bavarian district of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm , was built in 1949 on the site of a baroque column. The Marian column on Marienplatz is one of the protected architectural monuments in Bavaria.

The tuff column with a shell-shaped fountain basin and a stone figure of Mary was made by the sculptor Fritz according to a design by Willi Maurer
