Marian column in Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm

The Marian column in Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm , a town in the Upper Bavarian district of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm , was erected in 1833. The Marian column on Frauenstrasse is one of the protected architectural monuments in Bavaria.

On the sandstone pillar , which was renewed in 1974/75, stands the figure of Maria Immaculata with child who crushes the head of a snake. Today's figure of Mary is a replica of the sculpture created by Christoph Wachter around 1800.
