Marian column (Wolnzach)
The Marian column in Wolnzach , a market town in the Upper Bavarian district of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm , was built in 1865. The Marian column on Marienplatz is one of the protected architectural monuments in Bavaria.
The figure of the Virgin made of galvanized cast zinc stands on a stone column with semicircular services on a polygonal base decorated with tracery . The Gothic stone column was created by Josef Weber and the statue of Mary by the Mayer'sche Hofkunstanstalt in Munich.
