Transport United is a football club from Thimphu , Bhutan . The club currently plays in the country's highest league, the Bhutan National League . The club plays its home games in the Changlimithang Stadium , which is also the national stadium of Bhutan. The club was founded in 2000. The club played in the first division for the first time in 2003. From then on, the club dominated the league scene and won four championships in a row. In 2008 it was only enough for the runner-up. From 2005 to 2008 the club took part in the AFC President's Cup , but never got beyond the group stage. In 2017 they won the championship title in the Bhutan National League, which was founded five years ago. With this success they qualified for the AFC Cup 2018 , in which they were eliminated in the first qualifying round against the Indian representatives Bengaluru FC with 0-0 and 0-3.
