The Bengaluru FC is an Indian football club in Bengaluru in the state of Karnataka . The club was only founded in 2013, but was allowed to play in the first-class I-League in its first season. The JSW Group is the owner of this club and made it possible to go straight to the top league with a cash payment. In the 2013/14 season, the club celebrated its first championship, and in the following season it won the Federation Cup . In 2015 , the club took part in qualifying for the AFC Champions League for the first time. In 2016 the club lost thatAFC Cup final just 1-0 against al-Quwa al-Jawiya . Championship number two followed in 2016 and the cup was won again in 2017.

For the 2017/18 season, the club then moved from the I-League to the Indian Super League and immediately became runner-up.
