history
The club was founded in 1988. After the introduction of a unified national league in 1996, it belonged continuously to the 1st division until, surprisingly, at the end of the 2004/05 season, it was relegated to the 2nd division. The direct resurgence was then followed by fourth place in the 2005/06 season and the runner-up title a year later. Overall, this was the fourth time in eleven years that the club only finished second. In 2008/09 the club turned the tide and was three points ahead of Mohun Bagan as champions . In addition, the Churchill Brothers SC won the Durand Cup and the IFA Shield in 2009 . In 2010/11, the club finished fourth in the league, but won the IFA Shield. 2012/13 succeeded in winning the second championship in the club's history. In the following season, the club was only one point ahead of the Mohammedan Sporting Club penultimate and thus only narrowly escaped relegation. This then followed in the 2017/18 season and the club had to go to the second division .
