The Trappist Abbey Azul (Latin Abbatia Beatae Mariae de Angelis ; Spanish Monasterio trapense Azul ) has been an Argentine monastery of the Trappists in Azul (Buenos Aires Province) , diocese of Azul , since 1958 .

history

The American Trappist Abbey Spencer founded the Nuestra Señora de los Angeles ("Our Lady of the Angels") monastery in Azul (200 kilometers northwest of Mar del Plata ) in 1958 , which became a semi-independent priory in 1969 and an independent priory in 1974 Was elevated to an abbey in 1984.
