Karl Friedrich Hermann Wächter (born September 5, 1816 at the Kapellmühle near Günserode , † November 16, 1903 in Eutin ) was pastor and president of the parliament in Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt .

Life

Hermann Wächter was the son of a mill owner. He studied theology and was ordained assistant preacher on December 16, 1846, and became a pastor in Günserode in 1847.

From August 1852 he was a deputy to Gottlieb Schröter in the state parliament. In 1853 he became 2nd deacon in Frankenhausen . On October 16, 1854 he was elected to the state parliament for the constituency of Frankenhausen-Stadt. There he was elected to number one on the list of proposals for the President of the Landtag on January 26, 1855 with 11 of 15 votes and was appointed by the Prince on January 27, 1855.

In 1858 he became pastor in Ringleben . In 1868 he was appointed as an alderman in the ministry (church council) and in 1873 as superintendent of the diocese of Frankenhausen, where he kept his residence in Ringleben. On July 27, 1881, he became a member of the Council of Churches. On November 23, 1882 he was given the title of Council of Churches and on August 27, 1897 that of a Privy Council of Churches . After he retired on April 1, 1898, he lived in Eutin until his death.
