The Trappist Abbey of Huntsville (Latin Abbatia Beatae Mariae de Sancta Trinitate ) was an American monastery in Huntsville, Weber County , Utah , Diocese of Salt Lake City from 1947 to 2017 .

history

The Trappist Abbey of Gethsemani founded the daughter monastery Our Lady of the Holy Trinity ("Our Lady of the Holy Trinity") in 1947 at an altitude of over 2000 meters in the Rocky Mountains east of Ogden (Utah ), which was elevated to an abbey in 1948 . In 2017 the monastery was closed for lack of vocations.
