Travelzoo was founded in October 1998 by Ralph Bartel in Mountain View, California .
In 1999 the first so-called Top 20 1 was published, which already reached one million members a year later.
In December 2003, the company went public on the New York Stock Exchange .
Travelzoo has also been represented in Germany since 2006 and published the first German Top 20 in September.
In 2009 the company launched Fly.com , and in 2010 also in Germany.
In 2012 Travelzoo had a membership of 25 million.
In 2018 the company was named Best Travel Deals Provider at the British Travel Awards.
