Tray (empties)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A beer bottle tray with 0.33 l bottles, placed on an already full tray.

Trays have been used for returning empty containers for some time . They replace beverage crates if they are not available or to make the bottles easier to handle and store. There are trays for beer bottles , soft drink bottles and mineral water bottles .

A tray is a rectangular structure with recesses for the bottles. A Europool -M1 tray, for example, holds 108 0.33 l beer bottles. If the trays are full, another tray can be put on, as there are indentations for the bottle necks on the underside. 4 trays fit on top of each other on a common trolley , an empty tray is required to secure the last bottle level.
