Treasure Isle

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Treasure Isle was a browser game released by the Zynga company on the Facebook social network in March 2010 . The game was discontinued on December 5, 2012.

Game system

The game is controlled exclusively by the mouse. The player can move the figure to certain points on the map with a mouse click and give it the order to search for treasure.

The game requires Adobe Flash , which is why you play it on Facebook in a Flash window.

The player finds a map as a playing field, which is divided into several squares. Each field can be played by the player on z. B. Treasures or gold are examined. On an island, the fields that have not yet been examined are shown dark and those that have already been examined light. Unreachable fields, e.g. B. because of a locked gate, are heavily darkened.

Currencies

Gold can be found by searching fields, selling items or finding an entire collection of treasures.

Island Cash can be acquired from Zynga by purchasing with real money. Occasionally you will also find some island cash when searching through fields.

Experience is gained by searching fields, locking an island, opening gates (with precious stones), helping neighbors and completing a treasure collection.

Energy is the only instance that prevents the player from completely searching an island. Energy is lost every time a field is searched and is only regenerated slowly (one energy point every 5 minutes). Alternatively, you can fill them up with fruits or "Energy Packs".

As in many other games, the player carries items with him that are in the “backpack”. These can be, for example, "Gems" (precious stones), needed to open gates, or fruits, which replenish the energy. These items can also be sold for gold.

With the looted gold as well as island cash, your own island can be expanded with furnishings. It is also possible to enlarge the island.

criticism

Like FarmVille , Treasure Isle has been criticized for its lack of data protection. By using the application, it has access to all of the player's data. Another point of criticism is the exchange of real money for in-game currency.
