The rock carvings of the Tree Of Life Rock (also Tree Of Life Stone ; German  "Lebensbaumfels" ) are in North Yorkshire , England , in front of a field border south of Timble, north of Otley and east of Snowden Carr.

The digestion is about 18 bowl ( English cups ), of which 11 are connected by grooves having a central groove which is a sheet or a tree represent, hence the name. The outcrop is long, but the scoring is limited to the eastern end, with the exception of a few simple cups at the western end. The Bronze Age carvings could represent a map of the area's springs and streams flowing into a river.

In the Solbergfeltet in Østfold in Norway there are similar tree-like rock carvings, although they are also rare in Norway.

Individual evidence

  1. Snowden Carr is an area on the edge of Askwith Moor, where the land begins to drop into the Washburn Valley. Here are some rock carvings (PRAWR 584) with cups on the outcrops
