Trengsel bru ( German : Trengselbrücke ) is an arched bridge on the European route E6 in the municipality of Sørfold in Nordland in Norway . The bridge crosses the Nordfjord and is 179 m long.
It was opened in 1966 together with the road connection from Fauske to Sommerset .
Immediately behind the bridge you can see the portal of a railway tunnel of the polar railway , the construction of which began during the Second World War but was not completed.
