The song is about a couple who get into distress in a pedal boat . The song was published as a single version (3:08) and as a maxi single version (4:47) by Polydor , on whose B-side the title Day of the Lord was pressed. The successful title also appeared on numerous compilations . Miss Menke appeared with the song on April 25, 1983 in the ZDF hit parade , but could not place in the top three.
The song title has since found frequent uses in advertising copy and newspaper articles outside the music industry.
