Trevor Wye

Trevor Dudley Kingsley Wye (born June 6, 1935 in Woking ) is an English flautist and author of relevant textbooks.

Trevor Wye did not complete a conventional university degree, but took private lessons with the flutists Geoffrey Gilbert and Marcel Moyse . He then worked in various ensembles and taught at the Guildhall School of Music in London and at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester for 21 years . In 1990 he received the title of Honorary Fellow there. To this day he is also internationally active as an interpreter, teacher and leader of master classes .

Wye is founder of the British Flute Society and also the author of six volumes, translated into eleven languages Practice Book for the Flute (German: practicing flute - the right way ) and a biography of his teacher Marcel Moyse.
