Trichuridae are a family of roundworms . They are parasites that attack various vertebrate organs . Humans can also host various species of the Trichuridae, and some species cause diseases that can be fatal.
features
Like all families from the superfamily Trichuroidea , the Trichuridae have a longer and narrower front end and an esophagus , which consists of a front, muscular, and a rear, glandular part. The members of the family are characterized by the fact that the females are oviparous and the males have only one spiculum .

Trichuridae mainly attack the intestinal tract, but some species also affect the liver or urinary bladder of vertebrates. The life cycles can be limited to one host species or involve a host change , with annelids often occurring as intermediate hosts.
