The Trikke is a three-wheeled vehicle developed and produced by Trikke Tech Inc. The patented cambering mechanism allows chain and pedalless locomotion without a foot touching the ground. The construction offers a stable 3-point platform so that all wheels are in contact with the ground at all times. This allows the driver to lean back hard in curves and thus a sporty driving style.

history

The Trikke was developed around 1988 by the Brazilian engineer Gildo Beleski. He designed it as a three-wheeled scooter to be able to ride both down and uphill . You can climb uphill by moving left and right accordingly. He continuously expanded this concept into the patented cambering joint, the central component of all Trikke models.

In 2000, Gildo Beleski founded Trikke Tech in California . He partnered with John Simpson, currently President of Trikke Tech, and launched the Trikke in 2002.

Models

SKKI This model is intended for use in snow. The model, equipped with three runners , is intended to ensure free descent on the ski slope.

HPV (Human Powered Vehicle) The purely manually driven HPV model is specifically located in the fitness area. According to the manufacturer, up to 1000 kcal / h can be reduced here.

eV (electric Vehicle) The eV models are the electrically powered versions of Trikkes. With a hub motor and a replaceable battery, speeds of up to 25 km / h and ranges of up to 40 kilometers can be achieved, depending on the version and country specification. The eV6.1 model is manufactured for Germany with the corresponding approval . In addition to the variants for private consumers, there are also special vehicles such as B. for the security area of the police and authorities.

speed the vehicles can be produced at two maximum speeds. Once at a maximum speed of 25 km / h, a helmet is then mandatory . In this case, the Trikke is approved as a 3- wheel moped and is classified as a moped for road traffic . The driver must have a valid moped test certificate or a valid driver's license . Or at 20 km / h, helmets are not required here. The speed is regulated by a throttle cable. There is also the option of setting appropriate limits using the setting on the LC display.
