Trinitroxylenes

The trinitroxylenes form a group of substances ; their structure consists of a benzene ring with two attached methyl groups  (-CH 3 ) and three nitro groups  (-NO 2 ) as substituents . Their different arrangement results in several constitutional isomers with the empirical formula C 8 H 7 N 3 O 6 and the molar mass 241.16 g · mol −1 .
