André Savignon
André Savignon (born January 1, 1878 in Tarbes , † January 10, 1947 in London ) was a French writer. In 1912 he received the Prix Goncourt for the novel Les filles de la pluie , which describes daily life on the island of Ouessant .
Even before the First World War he was often in England (especially in Plymouth ) and also from 1939 when he was surprised by the war there. He then lived in London, where he died of pneumonia in a hospital. His main job was a journalist.
He was a Knight of the Legion of Honor .
