Trinity was a British rock band formed by Brian Auger in 1966 after Steampacket broke up .

The original line-up of Trinity consisted of Brian Auger (keyboards), Julie Driscoll (vocals), Dave Ambrose (bass), Clive Thacker (drums) and Gary Boyle (guitar). Trinity had a number of hit hits, including Save Me (1967), Road To Cairo (1969) and most notably This Wheel's On Fire (1968).

In 1969 Driscoll left the band and Auger took over the vocal part. However, the success waned, and in September 1970 Auger broke up the band to start over with Oblivion Express .
