Trio Neuklang
The Trio NeuKlang is a music ensemble from Berlin , consisting of Nikolaj Abramson ( clarinet ), Jan Jachmann ( accordion ) and Arthur Hornig ( cello ). With the exception of a few pieces specially written for this line-up, their repertoire mainly consists of, in part, very free arrangements of classical , romantic and modern compositions ( crossover ).
history
The trio was founded in 1998, at that time still with Dmitri Jurowski on the cello , originally only for the purpose of the world premiere of the piece "Octopus" by Georg Katzer, which was written for this line-up . After concerts in Japan, the musicians decided to continue working together. Trio NeuKlang regularly performs v. a. in the Berlin area (appearances in the Berlin Philharmonic , the Konzerthaus Berlin and the French Cathedral, among others ) and has undertaken various concert tours to several European countries. Since there is hardly any literature for the cast, the musicians have to work on their own compositions for their repertoire. In 2003 Dmitri Jurowski resigned and was replaced by Arthur Hornig.
