Ithyphallikos
Ithyphallikos ( Greek ἰθυφαλλικός , from ἰθύφαλλος "the erect penis "; Latin ithyphallicus ) is an ancient meter from Attica that was traditionally used in the chants of the feasts of Priapus . It was already in the 8th century BC. Used and entered Latin literature .
The verse consists of three trochaic verse feet , thus corresponds to the trochaic tripody (abbreviatedtr 3). The scheme is in metric notation :
