The Tronåsen or Tronåsvegen is a historic road connection in southern Norway . It is located between the E 39 and Sira (approx. 20 km away from Flekkefjord ) and is now only used as a tourist route and no longer as a normal traffic route.

The pass is only open in summer and is only accessible as a one-way street in the direction of Sira and only for cars. Due to the narrow street width, only cars up to a width of 1.90 meters are really suitable, but not mobile homes or cars with trailers.

The route is around five kilometers long and narrow, with very tight serpentines and an enormous gradient of over 25%, sometimes even 33%.

Around 1930 the Tronåsen was part of the Monte Carlo Rally . Tronåsen has not been used as a road since 1945, but has been preserved as a tourist route. A brown sign on the E 39 shows the way to the entrance. The start of the road is at Tronvik on the E39.

The end of Tronåsen is marked by the 52-meter-long Bakke bru suspension bridge . From there you come back to the E39.
