Trotro is between 2004 and 2005 produced French animated - television series for young children , which in Germany KiKA is broadcast.
Structure and plot
A broadcast consists of two individual episodes, each lasting about five minutes. The protagonist of the series is the small, curious donkey "Trotro", who explores the world for himself with friends and parents. Spectators see Trotro catching crabs, hiding or talking on the phone. Because of short and simple sentences, toddlers are the target group of the series.

The series consists of 78 individual episodes and was produced by Storimages , 2 Minutes , France 5 and TPS Jeunesse . The script was written by Mathilde Maraninchi , Antonin Poirée , Marie-Luz Drouet , Pascal Stervinou and Sébastien Dejardin based on the stories of Bénédicte Guettier .
Broadcast and publication
Trotro was broadcast in the morning on KiKA . The German premiere took place on September 1, 2005.
A total of three episode collections were released on DVD . On October 27, 2006 Trotro - power music and other stories about the little donkey appeared , on January 26, 2007 Troto's toys and other stories about the little donkey and on March 26, 2006 the Trotro collection box , which, in contrast to the first two DVD Publications consists of two DVDs. In addition to the German synchronization, all DVDs also contain an English version.
