Troy Hearfield (born October 31, 1987 in Tamworth , Australia ) is an Australian football player . The offensive player has been under contract with the A-League club Central Coast Mariners since 2011 .

Career

Hearfield was promoted from 2004 to 2006 at the Australian Institute of Sport and then signed a contract with A-League club Newcastle United Jets . In his first season he came after a few missions in the Pre-Season Cup only in the finals, in which Newcastle failed in the Preliminary Final, as a substitute again. In his second season with Newcastle he was used more regularly and won the Australian championship with the club. In the final against the Central Coast Mariners he was not in the squad.

In late March 2008 he left Newcastle and moved to league rivals Wellington Phoenix . His first league goal was against his former club Newcastle.

Hearfield took part with the Australian U-20 selection in the U-19 Asian Football Championship 2006 in India and reached the quarter-finals. Between 2007 and 2008 he played a total of four times for Australia's Olympic team , but was not called up for the 2008 Summer Olympics in China.
