TrueDownloader (sometimes called True Downloader ) is a free ( GNU General Public License ) download manager / accelerator. It provides features such as pause / resume, simultaneous download, and segment the download for speed. Both HTTP and FTP are supported. In addition, there are special features such as proxy support and ZIP preview. The program was created in Visual Basic Classic .
It is available for Windows 9x / ME / 2000 / XP and can be integrated into Internet Explorer and the variants of the Mozilla web browser ( Firefox , Mozilla Suite , SeaMonkey ) via extensions . The further development of the program has been stopped; Versions for Windows Vista and newer are not available.
The program was originally called DownloadPlus , but was renamed when a well-known Trojan horse of the same name appeared.
