The association “Kompetenznetzwerk Trusted Cloud e. V. “ ( KN TC for short ) is the holder of the Trusted Cloud Label for trustworthy cloud services for the economy - in particular for medium-sized companies . The association, founded in mid-2015, emerged from the technology program of the same name of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) . One result of the technology program was the development and establishment of a seal of approval for trustworthy cloud services. The Trusted Cloud competence network was initiated by the BMWi for the development of the Trusted Cloud label.

For users and providers, the KN TC is a platform for imparting knowledge on cloud technologies, especially in the context of the digital transformation of the economy. In addition, decision-making aids for the use of cloud solutions are provided.

The KN TC sees itself as a neutral, cross-sector forum that brings together the experiences and requirements of cloud providers and cloud users. It is actively supported by the BMWi . The focus of the activities is the creation of transparency and trust in cloud technologies through the transfer of user-oriented, prepared knowledge about cloud computing and the listing of tested cloud applications. The KN TC promotes the efficient, secure and legally compliant use of cloud technologies.
