Tschingi-Tura ( Russian Чинги́-Тура́ , Siberian Tatar : Цимке-тора, also called Tümen) was a medieval city of the Tartars in western Siberia, located on the Tura River .

She was the capital of the Khanate of Sibir until Khan Mamuk the capital from about 1,495 to Isker even Sibir or Qaschliq called misplaced. The name may mean city ​​of Genghis Khan .

After the conquest of the Siberian Khanate from 1580 by the Cossack leader Yermak , the city was burned down and abandoned. The Russian fortress of Tyumen was built nearby in 1586. The historical areas now belong to the modern city of Tyumen.
