The Tsugaru Quasi National Park ( Japanese 津 軽 国 定 公園 , Tsugaru Kokutei Kōen ) is a quasi national park in the Japanese prefecture of Aomori . It was expelled in 1975 and is about 260 km² in size. The park is divided into several non-contiguous areas:
- several stretches of coast on the Tsugaru Peninsula , including Cape Tappi
- Iwaki (volcano)
- Notched beech forests of the Shirakami-Sanchi World Natural Heritage by UNESCO
With the IUCN Category V, the park area is classified as a Protected Landscape / Protected Marine Area . The Aomori prefecture is responsible for the management of the park.
