The TuS Borgholzhausen (officially: Turn- und Sportverein Ravensberg eV Borgholzhausen ) is a sports club from Borgholzhausen in the Gütersloh district . The first men's team took part in the DHB Cup once.
history
The club was founded in 1897 and offers handball as well as gymnastics and jazz dance . The handball players first drew attention to themselves in 1959 when the team qualified for the Westphalia indoor handball championship. The Borgholzhausener missed the semifinals only because of the worse goal difference compared to the gymnastics community of Münster . In 1995, the team qualified for the DHB Cup and met the second division team Dessauer SV ZAB in the first round . The visiting team won clearly with 31:18. The team has played in the Gütersloh district league since its promotion in 2014. The promotion came about in a curious way, as the second team occupied the promotion place in front of their own first team. The first women's team currently plays in the national league season 2, coach is Ralph Czech. A youth gaming community was founded in 2016 with TV Werther .
