TuS Landstuhl
The TuS Landstuhl (officially: Turn- und Sportverein 1883 eV Landstuhl ) is a sports club from Landstuhl in the Kaiserslautern district . The first football team played a year in the then third-class Oberliga Südwest .
history
The club was founded in 1883 as TV Landstuhl and merged with all other local sports clubs in TuS Landstuhl in 1933 . The footballers were promoted to the 2nd amateur league West Palatinate in 1970 , where they were runner-up behind the amateurs of FK Pirmasens just two years later . In 1976 he was promoted to the Southwest Amateur League , which has been called the Association League since 1978. In 1980 they were promoted to the Oberliga Südwest, from which the team was relegated again. The negative highlight of the season was a 2:10 defeat at Hassia Bingen . In 1983 TuS was relegated to the district league and was immediately passed through to the district league. Since its promotion in 2009, TuS has been playing in the Kaiserslautern / Kusel district league .
The club plays in the Rothenborn stadium with 8,000 seats.
