Chapel of St. Bartholomew

The chapel in the village was first mentioned in a document on the occasion of the iconoclasm in 1529/1530. In 1886 Gothic frescoes were discovered which Adolf Fäh dated to the late 14th century. However, these were destroyed during the renovation by the architect August Hadegger, who renovated the chapel between 1891 and 1892 and rebuilt it according to his neo-Gothic principles. On the occasion of the restoration in 1975, the Hardegger neo-Gothic style in the interior was renovated, as a return to the original form with frescoes seemed impracticable. The external plastering was carried out as a broom throw in the 19th century. This was replaced in 1975 by a lightly chosen white lime plaster. The walled-up windows were made visible again. This was done by creating niches or needle joints. The tower helmet dates back to 1675 and was re-covered with larch shingles on the occasion of the renovation in 1975. The sign was removed in 1975.

Neo-Gothic glass windows are built in. These are executed as stencil paintings in colorful polychromy.

In the neo-Gothic altar from 1891, the figures from the 17th century depicting the adoration of the three wise men were integrated. There are also the two figures of St. Bartholomew and St. Matthew, which also date from the 17th century. These two are placed on consoles in front of the choir arch. On the occasion of the renovation in 1975, the altar was not redesigned, but just cleaned like the two statues and supplemented where necessary.
