Tumbling (gymnastics)

Tumbling is a gymnastics sport represented nationally by the German Gymnastics Federation (DTB) . Tumbling is counted as part of trampoline gymnastics. The sport is particularly widespread in England , Russia and China . Tumbling is English and means "overturning".

The athletes complete a series of jumps and rollovers on an acrobatic track about 42 meters long, of which 11 meters are run-up, 25 meters are jumping surfaces and 6 meters are landing surfaces. The tumbling gymnasts have to perform a series of eight jumps. At a championship, gymnasts have to jump two series, a somersault and a spiral track.
