Tumtön Lodrö Dragpa

Tumtön Lodrö Dragpa (Tib. Gtum ston blo gros grags pa ; * 1106 ; † 1166 ), in short: Tumtön , was a clergyman of the Kadam School, the first Sarma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism . He was a student of Sharawa . In 1153 Tumtön founded the Narthang ( Snar thang ) monastery west of Shigatse , which was the main monastery of the Kadam school.
