The Turck Group is a group of companies in the industrial automation sector . The sensor , fieldbus , interface and connection technology provider is represented worldwide with more than 4800 employees in over 30 national companies and sales partners in a further 60 countries. The family company offers an extensive portfolio for factory and process automation with more than 15,000 products.

Company organization

The Turck Group is essentially formed by the two companies Hans Turck GmbH & Co. KG in Mülheim an der Ruhr - responsible for sales and marketing - and Werner Turck GmbH & Co. KG in Halver - responsible for development and production. The managing directors of Hans Turck GmbH & Co. KG are Christian Wolf and Christian Pauli. Werner Turck GmbH. Co KG will be managed on an interim basis by Joachim Göddertz in 2019.

The Turck Group also includes the subsidiaries Turck Mechatec GmbH in Mülheim adR (manufacture and sale of control cabinet and connection solutions), Turck duotec GmbH in Halver and Beierfeld (development and production of electronic assemblies and devices), and TSL-ESCHA GmbH in Halver (Production and sale of door opening buttons, signal devices and LED lights for traffic technology and industry) as well as Turck Beierfeld GmbH (electronics development and production with a focus on customer-specific assemblies) in Beierfeld and Turck Electronics GmbH, another development location in Detmold.

Corporate development

In the mid-1960s, the brothers Hans and Werner Turck founded the family company with two employees, 20,000 DM start-up capital and the idea of ​​automating production processes using electronic components. A little later, Hermann Hermes joined the young company as a partner.

Ten years after the company was founded, the international orientation of Hans Turck GmbH & Co. KG began with the establishment of Turck Inc. in Minneapolis / USA in 1975. Since then, the family company has founded numerous new sales and production companies worldwide. In 1989 the company entered the Eastern European market by taking over the measuring equipment factory in Beierfeld / Saxony. In 1995, a production and sales company was founded in Tianjin / China for a presence in Asia.

On July 10, 2015, almost three months after Werner Turck, his brother Hans Turck died as the second company founder.

Products

The automation provider's product portfolio includes around 15,000 products from the areas of sensor and connection technology as well as fieldbus and interface technology. In addition to individual components for machine builders and end users - such as sensors, remote I / O stations or quick connectors - Turck also offers systems for image processing, radio frequency identification (RFID) or for pick-to-light applications. Industrial controls and human machine interfaces (HMI) are also part of the company's automation range.
