Rick Rosenthal

Rick Rosenthal (born June 15, 1949 in New York City , New York ) is an American director .

life and career

Rosenthal studied acting and directing at the Beverly Hills Playhouse . His most famous works are the second and eighth part of the Halloween series . Otherwise he mainly works for television, where he staged episodes from series such as Smallville and Buffy - The Vampire Slayer . In 1994 he shot a sequel to the classic The Birds under the pseudonym Alan Smithee .

Rosenthal is married to the actress Nancy Stephens .
