The Neulußheim Tower Clock Museum is a private museum in St. Leonerstr. 8 of the community of Neulußheim and was founded in 1999. The focus of the museum, which is located in the attic of the community's former school building, is the history of the clock tower.

The museum owns more than 25 tower clocks, all of which come from the private collection of clock collector Norbert Schäfer from Neulußheim. The oldest example is an approx. 500 year old tower clock with spindle and scale, one of the newest examples is a completely radio-controlled tower clock system from the company Perrot from Calw, which is visible on the facade of the old school building through a huge dial.

The collection

The collection includes exhibits from the manufacturers Förster in Nuremberg, Holzöder in Rothenburg, Hörz in Ulm, Mannhardt in Munich, Michiels in Mechelen (Belgium), Odobey de Cadet in Moret de Jura (France), Perrot in Calw, Rammernee in Graefenberg (Upper Franconia) , Schneider in Schonach, Seybold in Landau, Weule in Bockenem a. Harz, Zachariä in Leipzig and Schwilgué in Strasbourg, from whose workshop the famous clock in Strasbourg Cathedral, built between 1839–1843, comes.

The collection also includes a 12-part carillon from Eduard Korfhage & Sons , which is attached to the outside facade of the school building. It sounds on special occasions such as the Neulußheim Christmas market or at the end of Christmas services. Numerous pocket watches, wristwatches, sundials and other timepieces are also on display. There is also a small watchmaker's workshop in the museum.
