The gym equipment factory Adolf Buczilowsky was an important German manufacturer of gymnastics equipment. The company was founded in Berlin in 1871 by the joiner Adolf Buczilowsky and was initially located at Köthener Straße 17. Buczilowsky had previously been with the Royal Fire Brigade in Berlin and had received suggestions for scientifically sound gymnastics training from the gymnastics teacher Hermann Kluge. His company now supplied gymnastics clubs all over Germany according to the “System Kluge”. In addition to many club gyms, she also equipped numerous school gyms with equipment. One example is the equipment of the gymnasium of the Royal High School in Bonn, which was completed in 1891 .

In addition, in collaboration with the surgeon Florian Beely , Buczilowsky manufactured devices for physiotherapy, a scoliosis bar and a rowing machine for scoliosis therapy. In 1895 the company traded under the name of the Factory for Orthopedic and Gymnastics Apparatus . 1897 in the Berlin address book is: Buczilowsky, purveyor to the court of His Royal Highness the Prince Friedrich Leopold, factory for gymnastics equipment, orthopedic, swimming and rescue equipment . In 1903 the company advertises under the name Factory for gymnastics, swimming, rescue and fire fighting equipment . In 1907, the company owner finally achieved the status of purveyor to the court to His Majesty the Emperor and King . Later on, the company was simply called Factory for Gymnastics Equipment . The company's headquarters were at Blumenthalstrasse 13 in Berlin from 1904 until it was last mentioned in 1953.

As early as 1874, Buczilowsky had exhibited the demonstration model of a gym at the meeting of the gymnastics teachers' association of the Mark Brandenburg in Potsdam.

At the general German exhibition in the field of hygiene and rescue services in 1883, he exhibited the model of a gymnasium and a gymnasium.

The company was also active internationally and in 1885 was named in the USA as one of the four most reliable foreign manufacturers of gymnastic apparatus worldwide. Buczilowsky showed a model of the gym of the 3rd elementary school in Steglitz as part of the German teaching exhibition at the World Exhibition in St. Louis in 1904 .

In 1936 the company supplied the “Hellas” brand sports equipment to the Olympic Games in Berlin .

The factory owner Adolf Buczilowsky was appointed in 1917 to replace the late Dr. Herzberg elected city councilor of Berlin.
