Turret Iceland (of English turret , wall tower, pulpit, Rondell ' ) is a small and icy up to the north side of the island before the Pennell Coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is located 1.5 km west of Flat Island in the mouth of the Shipley Glacier .
The northern group of the British Terra Nova Expedition (1910-1913) led by Victor Campbell (1875-1956 ) mapped and named him. It is named after the northern end of the island, which jumps out of the ice masses of the Shipley Glacier like a wall tower .
