Twana Amin

Twana Amin (born November 1, 1981 in Sulaymania ) is a Kurdish-Iraqi author , translator and journalist .

Life

In 2003, Amin was editor of the Ministry of Culture's Text magazine . From 2005 to 2007 he worked as the head of the cultural program of the radio station Nawa . In 2007 he became editor of the cultural weekly Paik . Since 1999 he has been writing about literary research, lecturers and discourses in various Kurdish and Persian magazines and newspapers.

He is an active member of the International Federation of Journalists and is currently editor-in-chief of the quarterly magazine Konzept .

Awards

In 2007, 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2015, Amin won the “Best Story” award from the “Galawezh Festival”, one of the largest Kurdish literary festivals. In 2011, Amin received an award for “Best Youth History of the Year” from the Ministry of Culture.
