Twentieth Century Theater
The Twentieth Century Theater (also 20th Century Theater ) is a historic cinema complex ( playhouse ) in Cincinnati , Ohio . It is located at 3023-3025 Madison Road. The architect was Fred W. Stritzel .
The 20th Century Theater opened on August 1, 1941. The premiere was the film drama King of the Toreros from 1941, director was Rouben Mamoulian . It was the first air-conditioned cinema in the state.
The architecture is modern . The foundation is made of concrete , the wall is made of brick , and the roof is mainly made of asphalt . Another building material is terracotta .
The Twentieth Century Theater was listed on August 26, 1993 with the number 93000879 on the National Register of Historic Places .
