Tyyne Claudia Pollmann

Tyyne Claudia Pollmann (* 1959 in Düsseldorf ) is a German conceptual artist and professor of anatomy and morphology in the field of Artistic Basics at the Berlin-Weißensee School of Art .

Life

In addition to the two courses in human medicine and sculpture, Pollmann studied philosophy, theater studies and German studies. After starting in 1979 at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf (medicine, philosophy), she continued her studies in Berlin in 1980 at the FU (medicine, theater studies, philosophy, German studies) and completed the Physikum in 1982. She then began studying the free Arts at the KASK (Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten) in Antwerp, continued in 1982 at the University of the Arts in Berlin and expanded it through a stay abroad from 1986 to 1988 at London Goldsmith College . In 1990 she became a master class student at the UdK Berlin with R. Horn. In 1993 she began studying medicine in the clinical section and passed the first state examination in 1995. She has been working as a freelance visual artist since 1990 and mostly carries out multi-year, transdisciplinary projects in the field of art and science. In 1999 she took first place in the German Artist Association Award, was given a visiting professorship at the Braunschweig University of Art in 2002 and a visiting professorship at the Bern University of the Arts from 2004 to 2006 . From 2006 to 2008 she then carried out the stop counting project. Tyyne Claudia Pollmann worked from 2009 to 2012 as a drug safety scientist in clinical research (apoplexy and antibody research).

Works and projects

Since 2012 Pollmann has realized three works for the Charité Crossover Institute: leave a trace (2013), interactive installation, trancelation wall work (2015). The publication parts of the picture will appear in February 2017. In 2012 she was appointed professor of anatomy and morphology in the field of artistic principles at the Berlin-Weißensee School of Art (khb). In 2016 she initiated a cooperation with the Charité and worked with students to design a design concept for an initial counseling center for citizens with a migration background. From October 2016 she started the transdisciplinary project visions for people, a cooperation between the khb and the Psychiatrie Charité Berlin Mitte. The aim of the project is to develop needs-adapted instruments for field research that follow a participatory, trialogical approach and, together with students, lead to artistic and creative drafts that are to be implemented in 2018 in the Charité Berlin Mitte psychiatry.
