The Kendlerstraße station on the Vienna underground line U3 is located in the 16th district of Vienna, Ottakring . It is named after the castle owner Karl Edler von Kendler from Breitensee. The opening took place with the fourth section of the U3 on December 5, 1998, with which the western branch of this line is considered completed.
The station extends parallel to the route of the suburban line S45 next to the actual Kendlerstraße between the Opfermanngasse and the Steinbruchstraße. It has a central platform, uphill escalators and lifts at both ends of the platform. A public toilet facility is also part of the infrastructure of this subway station. The exits lead on the one hand to Sacrifmanngasse and on the other hand to Steinbruchstrasse. It is possible to change to tram line 10, which runs parallel to the station along Huttengasse, in the direction of Dornbach or Hietzing . The Kendlerstraße station is one of the least frequented on the Vienna network due to the relatively sparse population in the area compared to the previous stations.
