The Brasstown Bald - with the Cherokees Enotah called - with a height of 1458 meters the highest point of the US state of Georgia . The summit is on the county line between Union and Towns Counties . The mountain is named after an earlier village of the Cherokese Brasstown , which was located on the course of the Brasstown Creek .
