The metro station Vyšehrad is a station of the Prague Metro line C in the district Nusle . The underground station is located directly below the southern end of the road and underground bridge Nuselský most and is named after the castle complex Vyšehrad to the west .

The station was opened under the name Gottwaldova , after the communist President Klement Gottwald , on May 9, 1974. In 1990 it got its current name.

Due to its location under a bridge, the station has side platforms that are unusual for the Prague Metro . It is at surface level, but is only fully accessible in the direction of Háje .
