The U22 European Championships in boxing (official name; European Confederation Under-22 Boxing Championships ) are from European Amateurboxverband EUBC held that a member of the World Association AIBA is.

Event

The U22 European Championships are held as a tournament under the rules of the AIBA with a preliminary round, round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals. As is common in amateur boxing tournaments, the two losers in the semi-finals of a weight class share third place. Eligible are male boxers between the ages of 18 and 22.

The U22 European Championship represents a transition between the European Youth Championship and the European Elite Championship , where young boxers of the elite class can present and compare their sporting skills among their peers at European level.

183 boxers from 30 countries took part in the 2017 competitions and fought 173 fights.
