UBBC Herzogenburg
UBBC Herzogenburg is a basketball club from Herzogenburg in Lower Austria . The team is named after its main sponsor UBBC APOsport Herzogenburg .
history
The women's team has played in the championship since 1979. In 1988 the women's team was promoted to Bundesliga B and in 1990 to Bundesliga A. In 1995 the juniors (U 18) became Austrian national champions. After a third place in the 2009 championship, they did not take part in the AWBL in the 2009/10 season for financial reasons , but returned to the top division a year later after the 2010 runner-up in the second Bundesliga. There they reached fourth place after the rise again in 2011. In 2009 and 2010 they won the junior championship in the U20 age group.
