The UHT Eggiwil is a Swiss floorball club from Eggiwil .
history
founding
The UHT Eggiwil was founded in 1989 in the Tenne bar of the Hirschen inn in the village of Eggiwil by seven locals. The official inaugural meeting was then held on September 24th.
First successes
In 1998, the junior women B succeeded in bringing the vice-Swiss championship title to the canton of Bern . In 2000 the first women's team rose to the first division. A year later, the UHT provided a full-field team for the first time, which, however, was ranked last in the first season. Two years later, this team rose to the first division.
Ascent and descent
2008 Eggiwil succeeds after a terrific season promotion to the second highest Swiss league, the National League B . After just one season, Eggiwil was relegated back to the third highest division.
National League B
In 2010, the first team succeeded again in promotion to the National League B. The seventh final rank enabled the UHT to participate in the playoffs. Extraordinary victories against UHC Thun and UHC Sarganserland enabled participation in the promotion and relegation playoffs for the Swiss Mobiliar League . In these games, they lost the National League A Club UHC Uster and therefore remained in the National League B .
A year later, the Eggiwilern succeeded in doing this again. In the promotion and relegation games 2011/12 the team failed at the NLA representative UHC Waldkirch-St. Gallen .
Fall in the 1st division
After average performances in the National League B, the UHT Eggiwil relegated to the 1st division Grossfeld at the end of the 2014/15 season. In the playoffs of the first division Eggiwil failed in the semi-finals to Unihockey Basel Regio . In 2016/17 the UHT Eggiwil won 19 times and secured first place in the first division with just one defeat. In the playoff quarter-finals, the team defeated Zürisee Unihockey .
