UNICEF Photo of the Year
The UNICEF Photo of the Year is an award for photographs and photo reports that " document the personality and living conditions of children worldwide in an outstanding way ". The prize has been awarded annually since 2000 exclusively to professional photographers who were previously recommended to UNICEF by internationally renowned photography experts. An independent jury headed by Rolf Nobel will decide on the award of the prize .
A selection of the best pictures and reports nominated for the competitions will be shown every two years at the Photokina in Cologne as part of an exhibition entitled “Children. The present of the future ”.
